Burgundy wines are the precious heritage of the work of the monks who, between the 6th and 15th centuries, patiently developed the methods of working in the vineyard. Their authentic know-how has been passed down from generation to generation, until today.
We take you to the Hautes-Côtes, the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits to taste excellent wines from the Regional and Village appellation, and some Premiers Crus. For half a day, a full day or a tour of Burgundy wines over several days, our oenologist will take you to the heart of picturesque vineyards, in wine cellars containing delicious wines made with passion.
You will meet winemakers who are off the beaten tourist road, passionate men and women who take care of the vines, make the wine, raise it and sell it. They will share with you their in-depth knowledge of Burgundy wines and vineyards, will make the visit very informative and fun and will show you the best stops of the wine route.
In the north of Burgundy, about twenty kilometers of hillsides gathers the appellations of the Côte de Nuits which make the whole world dream; an exceptional terroir nicknamed the “Champs-Elysées of Burgundy”.
The appellations Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, Chapelle-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, Clos de Tart, Clos Saint-Denis, Clos des Lambrays, Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, La Grande Rue, Richebourg, La Romanée, Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, La Tâche, Musigny, Bonnes Marres, Charmes Chambertin are classified Grands Crus, while in the Villages appellations, some have Climats classified as Premiers Crus: Chambolle-Musigny, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Marsannay, Marsannay rosé, Morey-Saint-Denis, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot.

Visit the Chateau de Vougeot and its nine centuries of History
From the far off-time days – 1098 – where the monks from Cîteaux cultivated their vines and decided to establish at Vougeot the buildings needed to exploit their vast vine lands, the cuverie and the four giant wine-presses are still there today together with the Grand Cellier, an ingeniously constructed above-ground wine cellar. During the Renaissance period, it assumed its definitive form.
