Exclusive Champagne Tour & VIP Tastings
WHEN TO GO
FROM € 1800 PP
Our luxury private Champagne tasting tours are an invitation to live a unique experience. Champagne is a protected designation (AOC) which implies that all the champagne we consume comes exclusively from the Champagne region, a region made up of a mosaic of 280,000 plots whose production methods are strictly regulated and whose yield per hectare is limited. With 17 Grands Crus and 44 Premiers Crus made from 3 historic Champagne grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, the champagne region spreads over 4 production areas: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte Blanche and the Côte de Bar.
To the south of Epernay, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs whose hillsides, planted with 95% Chardonnays, dominate the plain of chalky Champagne, you will travel through the exceptional villages-terroirs classified Grands Crus and taste Champagnes considered as the most beautiful expression of the Côte des Blancs, with light and delicate aromas, full of spirit and liveliness.
IN THE SOUL OF CHAMPAGNE HOUSES
Our oenologists take you discover the history and the cellars of family houses which wrote the legend of champagne, a journey through time which will take you to the depths of sumptuous Gallo-Roman Crayères which are part of the Coteaux, Maisons et Champagne cellars registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Afterwrds, why not creating your own Champagne cuvée? During an exceptional oenology workshop, you will learn how to marry wines according to their different aromatic and organoleptic qualities, in a search for harmony and balance. YOU’LL LOVE TO KNOW
The legend of Dom Perignon
The monk Dom Pérignon, cellarer and procurator of the Saint-Pierre d’Hautvilliers abbey, based his reputation on his science of blending the best grapes and different grape varieties, which will lead the wines of the abbey to the royal tables.
Inventor of Champagne or not, the ultra-luxurious Dom Pérignon brand was the first so-called prestige cuvée to hit the market, a brand synonymous with cheerfulness and good times when most of the world is plunged into the Great Depression.
