Come to Bordeaux, the wine capital of the world, for an unforgettable experience. Admire the Grand Théâtre, one of the most beautiful sites in Bordeaux, which is located right in front of your 5-star Luxury Hotel, in the heart of Bordeaux.
On your arrival, you may want to go for a stroll around the city to discover its 18th century architectural gems, in the Town Hall district where the Saint-André Cathedral stands, the historic pedestrian area with its many restaurants and sunny terraced cafes, or along the banks of the Garonne with its amazing facades, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The recent development of the banks has given this district an art of living where you can go to relax, dream and let yourself be carried away by its magic.
ARCACHON BASIN AND DUNE OF PILAT NATURAL WONDERS
Your stay begins in a real corner of paradise, the Bassin d’Arcachon, an immense bay of 1500 hectares, and its lagoon with beautiful colors surrounded by fine yellow sand. Benefiting from an incomparable maritime heritage, the Arachon Basin has become an extremely important oyster basin because of the quality of its waters. Since the last century, many generations of punters and fishermen have given life to oyster-farming districts maintained with love, classified as classified sites. They represent a unique and exceptional architectural heritage of more than 500 cabins, 280 cellars in Trier and 200 accommodations. Today, the oyster beds extend over 2,000 hectares all around the Bassin and the Banc d’Arguin.
During a unique stroll, which will take you through pretty little oyster-farming ports, you will have the opportunity to interact with oyster farmers, who will share with you their passion for their work and their life between the huts and the parks. Lovers of authenticity will fully appreciate their guided tour of the oyster beds and an oyster tasting over a glass of chilled white wine.
You will then embark on a private boat for a cruise to Ile aux Oiseaux to admire the famous “tchanquées” style huts, symbol of the Arcachon Basin and, depending on the tides, the oyster beds in the Basin. This wild island is home to 300 species of sedentary and migratory birds.
During your sea ride, you will have the opportunity to admire the famous Dune du Pilat, the highest sand dune in Europe, 114 meters high and a listed heritage site, located in La Teste de Buch.
We advise you to ascent to the top of this sand dune. In high season, a staircase of 154 steps provides easier access to the summit. You will not be disappointed with the unforgettable view of the ocean, the Arcachon Bay, the islands and the Landes forest that awaits you.
In the evening, treat yourself to a famous restaurant in Arcachon, which will delight seafood lovers.
BORDEAUX LEGENDARY CHATEAUX
Today you will taken on the “Route des Châteaux”, where you will discover legendary wineries – whose names alone will make your mouth water. You will pass through the Châteaux Margaux, Latour, Mouton-Rothschild and will have the privilege of being welcomed in 2 famous Grands Crus Classés from 1855 (officially classified by Napoleon III). Château Lafite Rothschild opens the doors of its cellars to you to discover winemaking and aging techniques. A wine tasting will allow you to know all the elegance and delicacy of this famous wine with a well-established reputation.
